Texas City fire, utility and animal control crews search for dog lost in sewer

Members of the Texas City Fire Department, city utilities department and animal control officers spent several hours Thursday crawling through storm drains in search of a missing teacup Chihuahua. That is why the Ameren Illinois Utilities offer free workshops to educate municipal workers about the nature of electricity and natural gas, and their potential hazards. In 2008, we conducted more than 30 sessions throughout our territory to help fire and police department personnel, paramedics, public works employees, and others perform their jobs more safely and effectively when their work could involve our facilities.
