Gaston’s Excitement About the Jays’ Future

Cito Gaston’s only regret is that he won’t be manager of the Blue Jays after this year. Gaston feels that the next three years with the Toronto Blue Jays will be really exciting.

Los Angeles Angels manager, Mike Scioscia asked Gaston what he would do. Cito replied he wished he were younger so he could hang around. He explained he thinks that the Blue Jays are improving quickly and will be a lot of fun in the next few seasons. Gaston believes that he is getting a little long in the tooth to keep around.

Cito decided to retire at the end of the season back in January. He was quoted saying he still likes it and is feeling great but doesn’t regret his decision.

Cito will be 67 next year and claims he still has some things to do while he can still walk.

Gaston has no idea who’ll replace him as manager but believes that he is leaving the Jays in capable hands.
