I was wondering if the city of Charlotte hires seasonal employees? For any of the departments (Utilities, Street, Parks, etc). I go to school in Charlotte but I am from Minnesota. I am planning on living in Charlotte this summer, last summer in Minnesota I worked for my cities Utility department as a seasonal employee making 12.75 an hour and it was the best job I have ever had. I am wondering if the city of Charlotte hires these employees and if anyone has any idea how well they pay?
They do for summer. To help with parks and recreation. Its not like northern cities to plow snow. Pay is about 10.50 an hour to start.

Municipal workers are an important link to the public – your safety – particularly during emergency situations. That is why the Ameren Illinois Utilities offer free workshops to educate municipal workers about the nature of electricity and natural gas, and their potential hazards. In 2008, we conducted more than 30 sessions throughout our territory to help fire and police department personnel, paramedics, public works employees, and others perform their jobs more safely and effectively when their work could involve our facilities.

I am a student who is planning to move into a 2bedroom flat with a mate next term in Manchester City Center and for budgeting and accounting purposes was wondering how much the utility bill will probably come to per month. any ideas?
I have just paid gas and electric bill, for 3 months it came to £263, water is £37, a month and poll tax £80 a month, that’s for a 2 bed roomed house

I have a home in the city limits-can I put a 12′x7′ in backyard and hook up utilities for a person to live in? I’m in Illinois
It is illegal in most cities.
Call the building department to find out if it is legal or not. You will need a permit anyway.
