If you’re a pharmacist and you have in your hands two application letters, one applicant has a pharmacy technician certification and the other one doesn’t have any, who would you choose. Obviously, a pharmacist will choose the applicant with the pharmacy technician certification. A pharmacist or any employer prefer those individuals that have passed the pharmacy technician certification exam of either the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians, even though a high school diploma is all that is needed. Of course, finishing a formal training from an accredited training school is a welcome bonus.
